Friends Outside

Located across the street for the Contra Costa County jail in Martinez, this non-profit organization ministers to the prison inmates and their families.

Volunteer Opportunities:

•  Do a variety of tasks (such as filling requests for greeting cards each Monday)
•  Be a lay visitor to inmates (training provided)
•  Assist in the prison chaplain's work.
•  Bring donations of greeting cards, non-prescription reading glasses, canned or packaged foods, crackers, camping can openers, and large disposable diapers (deposit these items in the baskets located in the church lounge each Sunday).
•  Monetary gifts are also welcomed.
