God's World This Week
This week, April 13, we continue the Lydia story,
exploring the question, "How do we meet God where we are?"
Preschool students will enjoy their choir time, and
then explore the story through an art project. Kindergarten
through 5th grade will dig deep into the question, and
then begin work on a story box, finding and creating words and
pictures to describe how they find God in their lives.

Last week, K-8th graders experienced the
story in the fellowship hall, with time in jail, an
introduction to house churches in Lydia's house, dying purple
cloth, and a walk-through of the whole story. Preschoolers
experienced the story through smaller props in their own
space.
Next week we explore the question, "How do our
families act together to be with God?"

Lecture & Kids' Night Out April 12 |
|
There's still time to join us for the lecture, today, April
12 . Nancy Drake will speak on the topic: Helping Your
Child Feel Loved: Strategies for Building Self-Esteem and
Spiritual Connections for Your Child. The lecture will
take place from 4 to 5:30. A great Kids' Night Out will happen
at the same time, and will be extended to 8 p.m. so that you
can go out after the lecture ( rsvp required for Kids' Night
Out.). Kids will enjoy games (parachutes, beach balls,
hula hoops, and more!), dinner, and fellowship. The middle
school lock-in will be happening at the same time, so we'll
all join together for some of the activities.
Our
speaker, Nancy Drake, is a registered nurse, an Early
Childhood Educator of 30 years, a parent educator and speaker
of several decades, a parent of two grown children and
grandparent of four (ages 4,6,8,and 10). She is also a
